Title: 12" or 15" Aussie Camp Oven from Southern Metal Spinners Post by LG on Apr 15th, 2012 at 1:06am
I am trying to decide if I should get a 12" or 15" Aussie Camp Oven from Southern Metal Spinners. :-/
I was planning on getting the 15" but Bill (from SMS) has said they normally sell this size to clubs as they are HUGE. On the other hand, I'm a tad worried the 12" won't take my bakeware. Does anyone have a 12" ACO to do some size testing / measurements for me? I want to use the same bread tins and 6 cup muffin trays at home and when I'm camping. The sort of standard size bakeware you buy in supermarkets designed for home ovens At the moment my muffin trays are 6cup trays that have been cut down to 4cup so they fit in my Bushranger. The cut edge is rather sharp despite filing and the look is a bit ... ruff! I also have two small bread tins I use in the Bushranger, but would like to use the full size bread tins from the kitchen instead. Popping up the road tomorrow for a few days. See you when we get back :-* |
