Title: Farmstay near Port Lincoln S.A. Post by Rufzgutz on Oct 6th, 2012 at 10:04pm
We spent a very relaxing 9 days in a farm cottage near Port Lincoln.
http://www.mckechniesprings.com.au/Home.html The arrival of our 1st Grandchild was the reason for our stay here. ( we also had the M/i/L, son & daughter with us) we had one big feed of yabbies, then only kept the big ones for our daily entree. |

There is an on-site caravan and cabin and only 4 caravans allowed to stay at one time.
Looking back to the caming area a small area for caravans camp kitchen nice view from the balcony of the camp kitchen The old shed has a BBQ/table tennis/party lights |

Hi Rick. Glad you had a nice holiday over Lincoln way. My eldest daughter was born in the Pt. Lincoln Hospital a few years ago. Is there any fish in that dam as I dont go much on yabbies. Brian.

The yabbies from these dams are sweet tasting being spring water fed.
Brian, the farmer has stocked trout previously, but had the lot washed out after heavy rainfall which has discouraged further stocking. The cottage was saved from the Bushfire of 2005 that claimed 9 lives in the district. A write-up here of an ennekings reunion held at the farm http://ennekingnewsletter.wordpress.com/australian-ennekings/ Quote:
A tractor burnt in the bushfire You should do a writeup on here of black cockatoo bush camp Dave. Derek wrote on Oct 7th, 2012 at 6:53pm:
