About 2 hours south west of Brisbane over Cunninghams Gap.
Top camping with a great variety of birds. Fees are a little expensive and you have to take your rubbish home with you. TBF's campsite Followed by Piping Hot and a feathered neighbour. (King Parrot) IMG_3235__Small_.JPG (165 KB | ) IMG_3238__Small_.JPG (177 KB | ) IMG_3315__Small_.JPG (115 KB | ) |

Yes, toilets and showers.
Not many though. I'd hate to be there on a long weekend. All water has to be bloied for 3 minutes. There also some very basic cabins to hire. Camping is $13 pppn and $8 for children.. Also a one of vehicle fee of $25 for 4WD and $10 for a 2WD regardless of length of stay. Aart |

Looks like a very nice spot alright but the fees are bit steep. Love those King Parrots.

I`ve tried booking in there 3 times now but they seem to only open for official holidays. I always take my holidays outside school holidays because i like it quiet but they are not open or have school camps happening and don`t allow the public in at the same time so they are off my list.

Jewel do you call them on the phone or try and book on their website?
I have not had a problem there before, the only downside is the cost now. :( I call before we go, that way we get the rundown on local conditions and make sure it's quite. Last time we went the lady said she was setting things up so everything would be done online, no more phone bookings. Next time we go I will still call first Tim |

Hey Jules, welcome back to the forum. Have you camped up there before? Can get a little isolated on your own. |
