What are you doing for the weekend of 26 & 27 July 2013. Start planning now as I will be doing live cooking demonstrations at the Neurum Creek Bush Retreat's Country Rock & Camp Oven Cooking Weekend.

The weekend incorporates a Damper cooking competition and everyone is encouraged to cook a damper and present it to the judges. I will be cooking a simple damper in the morning to show how easy it is.

Have just heard back from Tracey at Neurum Creek and unfortunately thy do not allow day visitors on the weekend. :'(

They do expect to be fully booked out for the weekend with campers and if they allow day trippers it would be too many people.

I will be doing demonstrations from about 10 until 4 and this will be combined with a damper cooking competition in the afternoon that everyone can enter.

Top weekend out there, the camp oven boys were flat out on saturday, with plenty of future and present camp cooking peoples asking all sorts of questions, good on em they are always happy to answer any question...

Competition in the damper cooking was fierce. :o, with some amazing looking and tasting camp dampers submitted..

You expect me to remember after two nites at camp with beer.??. :D.. ;)..Um from memory i think 25 but there was a couple of scratchings. I was running late also, i would have liked another 15 mins in the oven.All good .Its a nice spot out there. :)

Very handy Dave, i had 3 out there came home with 1.. :)..
We had minimal coals on saturday as the fire had a late nite friday ::), and we wanted to be warm saturday nite, so they come in handy for the damper cooking.. ;)
