Might give this one a go KD
I'm looking for an easy bread mix for when I start travelling.
I do note that it takes 24 hrs to get right for baking.
The one in the photo has a good looking crust.

That one sounds interesting David

Not sure how to go about the last bit of cooking, the browning bit, if you don't have a volcano though.
Perhaps use multiple 'steam vent' cup hooks to raise the camp oven lid off the base while still getting the heat from the coals on the lid...  shrug

TBF ... Have you heard of the 5 minutes a day bread?

Basically you make up a big tub of dough and just use a little bit of it each day - quickly shape a lump of the dough into a ball then straight into the cooker.  If you need more info about it, Caroline has had a lot to do with that [and sour doughs in general] I think.

I didn't have any luck with the '5 minute' dough despite numerous attempts, so I gave it up in the end.
I reckon the vital wheat gluten available here in WA [aka Wait Awhile] is already stale before we can buy it  :-(
