I see you as eating well Dave.
Why is it us South Aussies get a craving for Pasties as soon as we leave this great state? Dave do you make your own Home Made sauce ? What size camp oven is that you are using in the Smoky Joe? |

Dave, next time try just a ring of beads (close together) around the rim of the oven. You will find you will get a better even browning all over them ;) You sure are visiting some nice spots down there. |

Title: Re: Our trip Limestone Coast SA Post by Smokeydk on Nov 13th, 2013 at 8:12pm

Our campoven is a 10" 4. 1/2 qt The Smokey Joe is 14" wide..... I'm looking at getting a 8" wide collar to fit on top to cook a whole chicken..shouldnt be to hard to get made kinda like this Weber-Jumbo-Joe-Extension.jpg (112 KB | ) |

Geez Dave, you are really getting back to the basics now.
No power, isolated campsites, cooking with coals, mixing with the native animals. I'd bet London to a brick that you are doing those famous campfire leaps :D :D |

If your having trouble getting the pasties to brown try cracking the lid of the oven a little, only a guess but it should work.
