Title: Honey and Soy Post by Seamus on Mar 4th, 2014 at 2:18am
I cannot remember where I read the "tip" now, but these days I always add a tablespoon each of honey and soy sauce to all my stews, casseroles and the like, whether they are prepared in the kitchen or in the CO.
If the tip came from this site then I say thank you, thank you, thank you to the author. Bloody brilliant. Cheers Seamus in FNQ 8-) |

Makes the best base for a steak marinade.
Honey, soy, garlic, ginger and olive oil :) |

As well as the above, I've been adding a bit of Stones Green Ginger Wine to some of my dishes and I find it enhances the flavour quite a lot. I did some prawns in garlic, soy and GGW at Christmas time and they were most yummy. I've also added it to my marinade for beef jerky as well. My latest batch is very more-ish.

I would never have thought of GGW as an ingredient but I'll give it a go. Thanks Stubby.
