Thats pretty unique as far as those go Nelson :o, Ive never seen one like it before, I have about five other brands, Simpson, Metters, Pope, cant remember the others without a trip to the shed.
I would have seriously thought about buying it at that price.

That brought back some wonderful childhood memories.

I have never seen that brand before. Good pick up. Do you know the origins of it?

That is a nice unit Nelson; if it's a bit of a rarity, I wouldn't have hesitated at that price.
I have a gem pan that I paid a premium for. Yeah, I know, probably way too much you say.
I have never seen another except for an aluminium version and two un-named clones.
I'm still smiling when I use it, so enjoy yours.

Thanks Nelson. That is a great piece of Aussie cast iron history you have in that gem tray.

I have always read about Yorkeshire Pudding, but didn't know what they were made of until I googled.

Egg/milk/flour. Sounds simple enough and seeing that I have a gem tray, I'll give these a crack.

I love Yorkshire Pud but something I rarely cook.

Being from the old country, Mum used to cook it a lot when we were kids.

It was done in the baking tray with all the left over bits and the fat while the cooked roast beef was resting.

I have seen some nice ones done in the drip tray in a Weber. Catch all the fat and then pour in the batter.
