Title: Itchy Feet Again Post by Derek on Jul 6th, 2014 at 9:49am
Maggie and I are looking at taking off again towards the end of the month. At this stage we have no commitments here at home until a wedding on 1 November so this trip could be around 12 weeks.
We will go south. Have a meetup with some family in the snow near Jindabyne the last week in August and the COG in early September at Lake Ratzcastle in western Victoria. Will be looking at everything in between. Planning is under way. |

Getting frustrated!!!!
We have been trying to get a shed built before we get away and everything keeps dragging on. They now reckon completion the week commencing 4 August so our going to be put back a week. |

Every Grey Nomad in Australia is in Mareeba this weekend for Christmas in July judging by all the caravan traffic on the road lately. I don't recall seeing local van parks (and non-van parks) so chockers.
Cheers Seamus 8-) 8-) |

We are off today for about a month or so exploring outback Qld. Will probably be a tad cooler than Cairns.
Safe travels to all who are travelling. Stubby. |

Seamus, Christmas in July is for motorhomes only, not caravans. If we did not have other commitments, we would be there as well.

Bit of success the last few days. Today they cut the block and prepared for the slab. Concrete goes down on Wednesday. Construction starts next week so looks like we can get away end of the week. Now getting excited again.

What size shed Derek, 6m x 9m? It should be a nice time of year to be travelling mate.

Been a busy few days here. Shed is now built and secured on the block and everything just about prepared for the trip.
We look like getting away Sunday. Will most likely head off about lunch and pull into the free camp at Fassifern near Aratula on the Cunningham Highway for the night before heading across to the Newell Highway down through Goondiwindi Monday morning. We have two weeks before we have to meet up with family near Thredbo. 10402085_10204434460402144_2176883664547217922_n.jpg (86 KB | ) |

I'd love to have a shed that big. My mrs says it doesn't matter how big it is, I'd still fill it up with junk and need something bigger. two story perhaps?
