Title: Mucking

Made another fruit cake today and while I had the oven on decided to have a play with a damper recipe.

Have never cooked a damper in a bread tin before.  Was a dry dough that just about doubled in size.

Basic recipe with 3 cups SR Flour, salt and milk.

Cake out of the oven and dough in the tin

Looked pretty good straight out of the oven

Underside had a nice crust

Next step is to try a 6 cup straight in the camp oven

Looking the goods Derek I don't like fruit cake much
And damper I only do if I do a stew wanting to learn a good dumpling recipe one day it's always a fun day experimenting though I used to try different things on the weekends just for kicks but the weekends seem to go fast these days how did the damper taste ?
