As far as I am aware there is no such thing, I have heard the rumor that they exist though.
I will believe it when I see one in the flesh. None of the old advertising by Albion Stove Works ..or Waltons mention anything smaller than 8 inches. I guess there is always the possibility that they made a "Sales Mans Sample" and it measured 6 inches. Again Ill believe it if and when I see one in the flesh. |

My thoughts as well SBB ,just put it out there as a bloke in gypie was telling me he has one but I have never heard of Albion being smaller than an 8"

Work on him mate and see if you can get a photo,or some other positive proof. I doubt you will.
An old fella I talk to at swap meets who comes from the Tenterfield area also swears they exist. |

If we had a better search engine on the forum I could possibly find it but there was a discussion several years ago from memory of a bloke in Gympie having a 6" Albion. Nothing ever come of it though.

Cannot remember who posted it but was a similar conversation. Someone asked if anyone had heard of a 6" Albion as someone in Gympie is supposed to have one.
I will keep trying to see if I can find it. |

By rights if there was such a thing as a 6 there should also be a 7..as the smaller sizes of Albion go up in inch graduations. If there is such a thing as a 6...why has a 7 also never surfaced?
8's are rare but not so rare that smaller sizes shouldnt have turned up by now if they existed. I'll be very happy if someone proves this wrong. |

Just rang the fella that had the 6" to which he told me he sold it at the rocky swap meet for $400 ,I asked him if he had any photos however he said no which is a bugger .
SBB you would have hit gold if you found it while you where up there . |

. . . . . . . and it gets even more elusive. I think these things are a bit like folklore. Only in the minds of those who profess them.
Like Rory, I would love to be proven wrong though. |

Does this fella from Gympie happen to have a fairly large private collection of different types of "Australiana"?
If so ...and he sold it at the last Rocky swap, it was an 8 and in poor condition at that. |

The bloke was saying he has 6 Albions between 10" to 14" some been 2 of .
He said he sold the 6" as it was to small to use and was sure that it was a 6" and has never seen one before . |

A 6" Albion, it could be true but until I see one I remain to be convinced, a bit like the 20" Harding or the 30" Furphy, blokes reckon they exist but where ?

The 30 inch Furphy's have a picture of a Unicorn on the lid.
I saw a couple of them in an antique shop once. |
