Ingredients

Abalone
Salt and pepper squid coating mix

Method

Beat each piece of abalone about 20-30 times to tenderize. Slice into strips. Place in a bowl and coat with salt and pepper mix. Preheat a little bit of oil in a frypan. Throw the abalone in and cook quickly

Tried Abalone when in Tassie last year.
Liked it, just a touch chewy.

I gave each one a good beating, at least 30 hits each and this came out really tender

I have never tried it. What does it taste like, calamari?

I'd say a bit of a scallop/calamari cross I guess. Pretty tasty

I like both of those so maybe I will get to try it some day; thanks Tadpole.
