My dad gave me his fish smoker he'd had sitting in his shed for years unused so pulled it out today to try it out. Did a mighty fine job 😃

Did you do the full cook in the smoker?

I'm the only one in my family who eats salmon. I absolutely adore it.
Bear it was all done and dusted within about 10 or 15 minutes. I used the stove cooker on my bbq for the heat as I didn't have any methylated spirits for the burner that came with the smoker. I used the saw dust dad gave me with the smoker which I'm pretty sure was Jarrah. Not a popular smoking choice, but for a quick cook was perfectly fine. It was probably sourced off his shed floor ;D |

Thanks mate will have to give it a go this week. Cheers
Just check and Jarrah not recommended for seafood but each to their own on taste. |

I'll get a more suitable wood now I know how easy it is to use. The Jarrah wasn't as bitter as I was expecting, but I'm sure there are nicer options out there
