Had my first shot this afternoon. Next one due now in July.

It will never happen while we have the current crop of politicians who only have two concerns: Announcing things; and Avoiding being responsible for anything. Actual delivery of services is beyond the lot of them, regardless of party. Last week I checked with my GP about vaccination appointments. The first available was August and that was before the latest debacle with the AZ supply. Here is an interesting thought; next time you hear Scotty From Marketing claim that they have "secured" 10 million doses, stop for a moment and ask yourself how have they been "secured" if they are not in the governments possession? It is simply an example of marketing weasel words from the flim-flam man. What the government has done is "order" 10 million doses, just like the original 20 million doses that they "secured" but were never delivered. As the old saying goes - How can you tell if Scott Morrison is lying? His lips are moving. |

I visited my doc yesterday to get some scripts and asked him, because of some of the medical issues I have, when I should get it. He looked at my history and said I should get it as soon as possible. Said he had more stocks coming in tomorrow and booked me in for just after 4.00 today. Simple as that. I didn’t know it was happening that quick here. |

Got my second shot of the good old AstraZeneca today.
I am now officially fully vaccinated but it doesn’t mean anything as far as lockdowns and border controls go. What it does mean hopefully is that I have a near zero chance of catching this beast of a virus. Time will tell. |

Going to be real interesting when they start taking the shackles off the people who are fully vacsinated.
But leave them on the one's that aren't vacsinated. I can see a real bitch fight on the horizon. |

Rang up the closest medical centre Wednesday last week and they booked me in for 6 weeks time. Too long I thought so tried the Reynella respiratory clinic and we were both booked in for one weeks time which was the Wednesday just been. Next shot in six weeks.
Doctors are treating it like any other appointment while the government clinics are now getting their act together and have dedicated staff giving the jab. Cheers Bear |

We had a normal telephone appointment with GP last friday. She booked us both in for our flu injections for monday
this week. We got that done. As we just had the flu shot we have to wait until sunday week to get the anti virus injection. WE also have appointment for the being of October for the second jab. regards Kevvie (Kev) ;) |

Maggie got that Zoster jab a few years back. Doctor gave her a script to get it from the Chemist. Got the shock of my life when they told me how much. We did get some back through the health fund.
I am due mine Sept this year. |

Hi Derek
It is still $400 to have. As soon as you are 70 it is free. They should give it to seniors over 60 Kev |

We've been lucky. 2 x AZ dose resulted in a mild red-wine-hangover-like morning.
I had the Pfizer booster with a sore arm (same as any inoculation) and my Mrs has the Dolly vaccine with few reportable symptoms. |
