Title: Our Camp oven veranda kitchen. Post by jclures on Jun 22nd, 2021 at 4:49pm
I am starting to build for myself a what I am going to call a Camp oven veranda kitchen.
This is going to take some time as I need to widen the last 6m of my veranda by around 2m. That hopefully will be starting later in the year, as I need to get a fair amount of steel just to build the deck frame. The floor height will be around 1.8m above the ground level. But for now, I am getting some bits made for it. I have already replaced the old BBQ for a flash new hooded job, so the old BBQ has been recycled into a camp oven cooking stand. The frame I had to modify but I think it has come up pretty good. I have made some stands for the camp ovens to sit on as well for heat beads underneath. The next stage of the job is to make some heavy-duty storage from some old steel boxes I have. campoven_veranda_kitchen_04.jpg (103 KB | ) campoven_veranda_kitchen_02.jpg (118 KB | ) campoven_veranda_kitchen_03.jpg (92 KB | ) campoven_veranda_kitchen_05.jpg (136 KB | ) |

I give an idea on the size of my new camp oven bench the bottom oven is 14”oven and the top one is 12”oven.

I have the cad drawings well advanced for the new extension, but it will take me some time building it. Costs and just being able to do it take time with me.

It looks good and I'm sure you will enjoy the area when you get it all finished.

I thought it would have been a waist just dumping the old BBQ, so I was always going to do something with it.
I made the hot plates lower, as I thought for me lifting a 14” oven that high full of food was not on. I have given it a run and it works quite well. No photos though. :) |
