Title: Christmas Pudding

Early sampling of a Woolies Christmas pudding tonight.  Not bad I must say with a bit of custard.

I like to “sample” a selection of Christmas Puddings leading up to Christmas Day.

This one is from ALDI and I must admit I think it is the best plum pudding I have tasted in the under $10 range.

Hi Derek
That pud looks pretty good. Like you say not a bad price.
I paid $14. for a gluten free pudding also from Aldi.
I made 6 deserts out of it for Lesley. It must have been OK as I did not receive any complaints from her  ;D
regards Kev ;)

Derek
The 6 hour cooking time is a long time .As for the 12 month storage time. I think it would be gone before the 12 months is up ;D ;D ;D
regards Kev.

The six hours is because it has suet in it.  Suet has a very high melt point.  Substitute the suet for butter and it would only be a three hour cook.  ;)
