Title: Vale Mikel
Post by Derek on Nov 10^th, 2021 at 8:15pm

It is with deep sadness that I let you all know of the passing of Mikel following a battle with cancer.

Mikel joined the forum right back near it’s inception. We met at one of our COG’s and he was a regular attender over the years.

Our thoughts go out to his wife Chris and all of the family.

Rest In Peace mate, you will be missed greatly.

I met mikel probably 25 years ago camped at a billabong near Quilpie, we became friends as we had many common interests especially camp ovens and cooking. My condolences to Chris, RIP Michael.

Sad news indeed, he was always good value around the camp fire, a few ports and stories of different prospecting adventures were always on the cards.
R.I.P my friend. :(
