Title: On the road again.

I've just returned from a trip to SE Queensland, it was very wet with flooded cotton fields stretching for miles and roads in poor condition. We had to leave Dirandbandi caravan park just near Cubby Station or get flooded in with more rain coming.
I bought an orphaned 13" Metters lid in VGC with what looks like an RM Williams base in a country town, both for $40, the only CI I saw the whole trip.
Lots of caravans on the road and we found most showgrounds which accept campers were very busy.

Late last year there was a lot of cotton planted here in areas where veggies would be.

Was told by a local the reason being that cotton can all be looked after mechanically whereas veggies in the main needed to be picked by hand and there are not the backpackers yet back in the country to do it.

Most of it was flowering with seeds just starting to pop cotton balls when the floods came.

Most of it was lost.
