They are all gorn.  Don’t last long do they. 

There was 300 ml of cream in the filling and I may have beat it a bit long.  Think it was about to turn into butter.   ;D ;D

Two things to do better.  The one above where I over beat the filling and I cut the pastry to fit the tin I was making it in and the pastry shrunk while cooking.

To take your Vanilla Slice to the next level.
Add a layer of thick cream on top of custard before the top layer of pastry. :)

I make a vanilla slice using Cottee's vanilla  instant pudding, with thicken cream.

My filling was an Aeroplane Vanilla Pudding, cream and milk.  👍
