There are a lot of good things about Oktoberfest but one especially for me is that Aldi release their German Liverwust. Only appears this time of the year but I always manage to get a supply of it.

Very disappointed. Looks like none of these in Aldi this year unless they are coming late. :(

Our Aldi had their Ocktobestfest stuff a few weeks ago.

I suppose it was the beginning of September as Ocktoberfest starts around the middle of September.

Walking through ALDI and lo and behold, jars of Liverwurst on the shelves so I grabbed a couple.

Didn't realise till I got home that the expiry date was in 2026 or would have bought more.

Mind you it does say consume within three days once opened. ::)

It's a very coarse liverwurst.

It is, and it is labelled fine grind however they also make a course one which I have had in the past and I like it even better.
