Waiting for transport to Ashford Private Hospital for hip joint replacement. Because of my heart and lungs they are not puting me fully under and planning two days in intensive care once done yo keep a good eye on me.

Hoping to be out between Tuesday and Thursday the way they have been talking.

Hoping all goes well and you have a speedy recovery.

First cab of the rank and all went well so far. Took till about 5pm for the nerve block to clear aboit 95%.

Physio had me up doing a side shuffle the length of the bed. Will do the same today then a ward walk with the nurses. Surgeon will be in this morning  so will know if I will be out of critical care ward and  a likely home time.

Food is crap but staff are great.

Morning all best sleep ever last night the woken at 11pm for a blood pressure test. At lest it was not for s sleeping pillh.

Up again at 5:am for another test but beat them this time. More exercises and walking today will be clad to be out of here.

Trust every on had a great time at the cOG, CHEERS Robert

Boy that’s a fast turnaround. Will be good to be home though. Have to keep those exercises up when you get there.

They try to limit you between three to Five days, mollies not the best so better to be with her

And people die in hospitals so best to not be herr. Will still have to use a walker for at lest another week.

Do not feel to safe with the walking stick, matter of balance. Cheers

Lady friend of ours had a hip replacement in Brisbane.  On discharge after two days she got in a taxi to the airport and jetted off to Adelaide to spend her recovery with her sisters.  Am not sure how she managed it.

Good to see you are home.  How is Molly going?

Derek Mollys comming good, some people can breeze through and others can’t. Certainly could do with out the pain. Cheers
