Title: leg of lamb
Post by Norweb on Nov 23rd, 2024 at 3:42pm
My in-laws at Xmas time would give us a smoked leg of lamb it was great. I bought a Bunning $50 smoker and I thinking of given it ago. I smoked trout in my stainless smoker one at a time.

I worked for Tassel Salmon and filleted 300 salmon per day and smoked 600 rainbow trout nothing like fresh salmon smoked.

Has anyone smoked a leg?

regards norm

Never done it myself Norm but as a kid a smoked leg of mutton was for many years our Christmas ham. Dad worked at the Riverstone Meat Works outside Sydney.

I only ever remember it as being pretty darned good.

Actually Murray’s local butcher will do a smoked leg of lamb.  He might comment on here and comment.

This is a photo of one he bought.
