Beads are on and preheating the Lodge 10 deep.

I am crank as all get up.
Most of the heatbeads have failed.
Hotshot brand.
So I have a slow broil rather a roast.
Not happy.

Doesn't look too bad - low and slow is hard to beat.

When you say the beads failed, how so? Just don't light?

They did light.
Put them under and over the CO.
Checked them 40 minutes in, and many were cold.
Tasted okay.

I bought them from Bunnings about 4 months ago.

They should still be good unless too much moister in them. May need to to dry some out and see how they go. Cheers

Seems to be a hit and miss with all the charcoal briquettes these days.

Have heard of this problem with all of the known brands.
