Bought a air fryer from Aldi’s and last night Molly cooked the first meal with it.

Roast boneless pork and vegies, turned out very well but she is always a heavy hand when serving up.
Crackling was good and a nice rich gravy all over. Only got through about 70%.

Molly is like me.  I have trouble with portion control.

That looks a great meal for sure.

Have seen a lot of comments online, especially from caravanners about the Aldi Machines and pretty well all positive.

That sure is a good plate up.
We love our air fryers.
One in the kitchen, a second in the vanHetty would use it 3 times a week at least.

Does the best crackle on pork belly.

You still using the small kmart in the van. What size was it again pls? Cheers

We bit the bullet today.  After knocking the old one off the bench and it ending up in a thousand little pieces we bought a new Air Fryer.

Friends at Old Junee in NSW had a new one from Spotlight that I thought was pretty good.  Maggie needed a few more balls of wool to finish a project so we went down to Ipswich to grab them.

Walking through the shop and the sign caught my eye $200 down to $89.  I would never agree that they were ever $200 but $89 was a good price to pay anyway.

It is a Culinary Co 8 litre model.  Bought the bigger one this time as found the old one a bit restrictive at only 4 litres.  Will be interesting to see how a whole chicken goes in it.

On the way home and Maggie said, “So, what’s for dinner”.   ;D ;D ;D ;D

I like the 2 door one that are out now.

Today was my first use of the new air fryer.  I decided to cook a chook, something I had never done before in an air fryer.

It was a 1.6 kilo chicken. Gave it a good rub of salt, pepper, paprika and oil.  Breast side down at 180 degrees for 45 minutes.  Turned it to breast side up for additional 20 minutes. 

It looked and felt cooked but checked with the probe thermometer and it was 84 degrees in the thickest parts.

When we were travelling we often bought a cooked chook from a supermarket.  Had one hot meal from it and then lunch sandwiches for a couple of days.

Will keep that up at home now we can easily cook them this way.  Little to no mess and easy cleanup.

The chicken turned out pretty good.
I use baking paper in the air fryer when I am cooking then I have no problem cleaning the air fryer
