Hey Rastas I picked up a square "PRESTO DOUBLE Jiff Iron" for $10 today in a 2nd hand shop.

Hey rasty

Do you use yours just on gas (you mentioned turning it in another thread) or coals or both?
Hmmm, got one for Cobbs now, maybe there should be a chat board for jaffle irons.

I use them on coals and gas..

I try to keep away from flames as they are too hot and burn the bejeezus out of the bread

No I picked it up in a Lifeline shop at Newtown shopping centre.
Show you it on Sunday morning when you call in, and the camp ovens and water fountain bought last week.

I will do some on the gas hob and post the pictures this week....  and Heat beads work just fine too..  I try to keep the iron a little above the beads to make sure the heat is uniform..
