Had these photos saved of this unusual camp oven since it went through Ebay a while back. Thought they probably should be here for future referance.

LK sent me the eBay number of an Albatross for sale in Ireland a couple of months, it was very rough and from memory the starting price was $100 then add postage....
Same seller had an old Falkirk too, same deal. pd |

I just picked up an Albatross pot on EBay here, on the other end of the earth. If you click on "See Original Listing", you can see all the pictures.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/antique-black-cast-iron3-legged-kettle-pot-/360974960177 These auction pics are not great, but it does look to be in fine shape, if it arrives intact, I'll season it up and get some better pics. It's not really an oven, so feel free to move this post to a different board if you like Derek. |

No lid???
Looks great even from the photos. |

I hope to use this lid. It is actually a 10 inch McClary camp oven lid, made in Canada. It looks like it should fit.
There is little to zero chance that I would ever find a correct original lid for this pot. ![]() ![]() |

Ok here is a bit more information on these ovens.
It appears that they made a full range of camp oven sizes from 6 inch right through to 24 inch. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I must have missed this post. That would have to be one of the best brochures I have seen.
