Expect him to come online and have a look.

Cheers

The name linked to a cast Iron gem scone tray in a search I did the other day. Couldn't find anything else.

Is it possible to have a guess at its worth? Seems scarce, so I guess eBay would see what buyers are willing to pay.

Intriguing that google cannot give any answers except that Roy Vail was a gunsmith.

Thanks, for your help, yes eBay would be a good way to see what its worth but I don't want to part with it just yet

I found these with the same name. The first is an iron stand found on Ebay under the heading 48 Reva pegs, red, white and blue. The next is an article on a similar cooking implement. Next is a waffle iron.
The last two were found on Trove.

I'll keep searching for more.

I have seen only one in real life before and would love to have one.  My research at the time revealed a foundry "brand" from the early fifties.  Aluminium cookers, hot plates, jaffle irons and the like.

I personally have a suspicion that they were made at the RACO factory or from RACO patterns.
