Just asked Maggie what her thoughts are on this. She said, pavlova is a good thing to take.
I went, cooked in a camp oven. :o :o :o :o |

There have been a few on here over the years actually. I have never cooked one, not even in the oven inside.

I have been in hospital for a while, and it threw a spanner in my plans.
We did get away over the weekend and both Bonnie and I tried a couple of recipes which I have not put up yet. I still feel a little off colour, but I will have a look tonight at the photos we took to see if they are good enough to put up. |

Sorry to hear mate, hope your feeling better soon. Shall we push this one out for another month? I haven't cooked outside at all this month

I would be OK with that.
I have the MySwag christmas weekend next weekend, I might try something then as well. |

Yeah, I didn’t make it either. Have the idea and the ingredients but short on motivation with lots of other things going on.
Happy to roll it over as well. |

What shall we do with this one? It's jclures nomination again, shall we get a new theme happening for January?

I am open to suggestion as to what to do and where to go with the Challenge. It has kinda shrunk into oblivion.
I know for me camp oven cooking is not a regular affair where I can post up a specific every month. What are others thoughts?? |

When I lived in Leinster, I didn't have much to do outside of work, so was cooking in the camp ovens every second day I was home and would religiously get 2 entries in every month without fail. But since I've moved, I've found I may pull them out once a month and not necessarily to complete a challenge, but to just cook dinner. I like the challenges but I'm in the same boat as you Derek.

Having left a large block that had a designated camp-fire area, now on 800 square metres, I find it difficult to cook with my ovens. Times are a changing.

I am still building a add on to the house for Bonnies Mum, so time is my problem. You would think when retired you would have plenty of time, but that is not the case for me.

Ok, let’s put the Challenge into recess for a while.
Cheers all. |
