What's your software.

A lot of them have a menu heading "image" and under that heading another which says 'size' or 'resize'. Then you start reducing the items on that section until you get it down.

For starters. make it 640 x 480 pixels. That's a frequent forum maximum height and width. Then if the image still has too many kb, you start reducing the resolution. Or the dots per inch. pixels are the dots that make up the picture.

I think Derek has a maximum of 100 kb, which is bigger than for many sites.
