Poached eggs (Read 6865 times)

This one has been around for ages.

To make poached eggs while camping is as easy as can be.  You take an ordinary muffin tray, fill each cup with water about 1/2 of the way, heat the tray on your camp stove or in your camp oven and crack open and add an egg to each.  They come out in cup-shaped forms perfect for topping a slice of toast.  A little salt and pepper and they're ready to be eaten.

Why have I never thought of that?  How simple!
The only thing I have cooked in my muffin tray is ... muffins!

Shops have been selling frypans with egg poaching cups in them for decades....
why did we never think "Oh they look a bit like muffin cups" ?
