Some how the original thread got hijacked and confused.
I want to know about what the cost of the oven Derek is negotiating to have made will be (either Aussie, US or whatever currency).
I can glean from the other thread the appox shipping cost.
Also what will these ovens look like? Close to a Furphy with the rounded lid flange or a Lodge with the more square lid flange?
I vote for the Furphy look and can do without a roo......just "the Derek" would be fine.

Folks

I have reluctantly put this project on hold.  I have a few things happening in my life right now that have necessitated this.

If it goes ahead the design will be very similar to the "old" furphy design and I hope it will have "BULLOCK" and "AUSTRALIA" on the lid as well as possibly the year of manufacture eg 06 for this year.  This will be raised and not imprinted.

At this stage I am reluctant to estimate cost however expect them to be comparable to the current Chinese Furphy price.

I will let you all know when and if it gets a go ahead.

Regards.

Derek

What about a design with your name maybe a map of Australia or some fauna roo - emu etc that can identfy the oven as Austrlian made product

Sorry, CGee, I'd like an outline map, or a roo in raised  format better.

The Billman's and Lodge's raised letters standout.    That Lodge O is an identifier.

How about raised numbers for the size, 10", 12", 14" or were you thinking of just one size?

I am sort of thinking of a souvenir to bring home in the luggage.

Cool
