COCIA

Hey folks, does that have a ring to it. COCIA is short for Camp Oven Cooking In Australia or Camp Oven Cookers In Australia.

I am still keen to establish something in Australia that we can all be a part of and have a sense of identity. Maybe even establish our own Festival or sponsor one of the major ones, e.g Milmerran or Casino.

I know where I can get stickers made up and also badges. There is also an opportunity to have shirts and caps with the name/logo embroidered on. Mind you I do prefer my Akubra. Roll Eyes

Any thoughts.

G'day Derek, COCIA Association is my preference also and as mikel pointed out previously, to have our own club rather than be a chapter of an overseas one is the way to go, crikey, they don't even call them camp ovens !
Early days yet but to sponsor a festival like the one at Casino would be terrific, I went there last year for the camp oven week-end and there was a lot of interest. From memory over 300 vehicles turned up, far more than they anticipated and that was their first one.
Will be watching with interest. Rob.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens for what I told her I paid for them. pd

Gday Derek; CamperBear here; Camp Oven Cooking in Australia is i think the best way to go. as for being a member im in just let us know what is required also i think shirts are a great idea that way we can be reconized by other members any thoughts by anyone else?

I think COCIA (COOKING) fits the bill perfectly. And its the exact name of the site. Also think Association joins the members together as something cohesive.

Looks like we are getting somewhere here now. Appreciate your thoughts on perhaps a logo.

I was thinking maybe a camp oven like the ones on the top of the forum with COCIA embroidered under it.

Something like below only a bit more fancy and more balanced
