Now back in the mid to late 1800's in Texas there used to be cattle drives. Tens of thousands would be driven to the railheads north of there. A fellow named Charles Goodnight invented the chuckwagon, a horse or mule drawn vehicule which was the cook's castle, so to speak.

I have studied this part of history and still have books in my camper which are reserved for lazy evenings while camping. One of the prominent kitchen items was the Dutch Oven.....SO-oooooooooo

Personally I have never tasted this only because I was born in 1938 and not 1838!..........
