Today not that far from my house a significant fire started. Shows just how vulnerable we are when the fire bans are on. It was reported that sparks from an angle grinder caused it.

Check out the pics taken from about 2 kilometres away from my front yard.

Looking at your pics Derek we can see how dry the country is. I live in an area surrounded by pretty dense bush which has'nt had a fire since 1994 so its a matter of when, not if.

Thank you for the pictures Derek. It makes it much more meaningful, when you 'know' someone where these fires are happening.

Do your communities have 'bare' or fire break areas around them? Or what protects your communties from fires besides the big equipment?
