I'm looking forward to picking everyone's brain regarding these rigid, robust wonders that provide me with such joy, both in a practical and in a sentimental kind of way.
The life of a camp oven intigues me greatly, and I can't wait to find out more information regarding the ovens I have collected and used over the years, as well as passing on any information I might know.
Theres no two ways about it the thrill of finding a new cast iron collectable really gets the juices flowing and i'm sure you all know what i'm talking about.
Anyway I would like to start off by asking if anyone can confirm what was the smallest Metters Camp Oven made?
I have been told conflicting storys by numerous people over the years so I hope there might be someone who can confirm this for me.
Astroboy.

Hi Astro and welcome.

We are a little short on actve members at the moment even though we do have a large number registered.

I am not sure on the smallest metters ever made myself but I am sure someone may be able to assist with that.

Regards.

Hi Astro

I'm Only new to the site , while looking around noticed your question regarding the smallest metters and couldn't help but buy into the debate , about 20 odd years ago whilst on a station up north the shed cook used a variety of camp ovens of varying sizes & if my memory serves me correctly I'm almost sure one of them was a 6" metters , I haven't seen one before or since and the memory is now a little hazy but 3 parts sure it was a 6"

Hope someone else can verify it for you as well as for my own sanity  Grin
