100% Derek. It was purchased by myself directly from the foundry.
It's the same mark As the 8 inch oven that went for $365 on ebay not long ago.
I have also seen the mark since on one of the Furphy Fountain Boiler's at a clearence sale.

Guys

Contacted Furphy today just to try and get some history on these.

Furphy brought out the Kangaroo Stove Company many years ago and went into manufacturing stoves.  In so doing they also inherited the 14" Kangaroo Camp Oven pattern.  They then manufactured the 14" Kangaroo Camp Oven from 1980 until 2000 so even though it isn't technichally a Furphy pattern it was manufactured by them.

They only made the 14" one.

Very interesting.

Cheers

Derek, you might remember the 8 inch oven that was on ebay a few weeks back and this oven had exactly the same mark. It must have come from Furphy as well.
And the kangaroo mark was on a furphy fountain boiler that i saw recently, they must have used this mark on other items and sizes.
Do you think you might be able to find out a little more information regarding these 2 items, would love to know.
Astro.

G'day

Are these 14 inch ovens of equal value/quality as Genuine Furphy's and what would one be prepared to pay for a good one?

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Jono, as far as i'm concerned if there made at the Furphy Foundry they're original Aussie made Furphy ovens. That kangaroo mark but is definitely on my Furphy 8 inch oven as well as on the Furphy fountain boiler. So I don't know why they would use that mark on these 2 items, if the moulds were'nt oringinally from Kangaroo stoves.
Does anyone have an 8 inch Furphy or a fountain boiler to see if they have the mark of the kangaroo?
