My old Joseph Rodgers "bunny" knife, complete with pricker and tweezers.
Doesnt seem to matter what I do, where I am, there is always a splinter needs pulling.
(Actually my grandfather was all his working life with Joseph Rodgers & sons, so I do have a nice little collection of their cutlery)

Was going through some old camping gear yesterday and came across a roll of toilet paper ahhhhhhh ringwipe for you bushies who are uncultured now I know that this is an area of may we say delicaticy hope I hit enough of the right letters there anyway to get on with the story a number of years ago you could purchase this paper that was like sheets of glass both in softness (none at all) and slickness I gotta tell ya fellas this paper is that slippery you have to start wiping from the back of your neck and hope your aim was good enough to clean up on the way through once it was over you couldent go again until you got over the trauma and your hand healed from the damage done hitting the ground so hard. ended up farming the rolls out to people I didnt like just to get rid of it knew there was something unpopular when caught that better half with her own private stash iunder her side of the bed

most important part of your camping kit but dont buy cheap stuff

cheers Fueph

Paper, PAPER ? What's wrong with youse pansy's, a handful of gum leaves has always served me well, just don't confuse 'em with stinging nettles ina the dark.
I reckon a long handled shovel is pretty important, whackin' tiger snakes that wander into your camp, digging out the 4x4 where you ventured into bottomless sand off the track, digging holes for business mentioned in the first paragraph, putting coals onto and under your little black pots, covering your fire when you break camp, PHEW, the list is endless, yep a very necessary bit of gear.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

I've got one of those Mick.  Mine is a duel fuel (unleaded petrol or shellite) and has two mantles.

they must put out some light,
mine is the single mantle Kero & it can be a bit much if it is to close to camp, best to sit up & away from everone or it is really "in your face"
