Received these photos by email today in an effort to identify this camp oven.  The guy picked it up at a garage sale.

It has Furphy on the lid as well as 14 stamped into it although thats not visible on the photo.  On the base of the oven are the marks of the Kangaroo Oven Co that Furphy bought.

Couple of interesting things are the shape of the legs and the fact that the lid sits over the top.  You can see where it is cut out to fit over the bail hooks.

The guy rang Furphy and was told it sounds like a model that they made 30 to 40 years ago.  I also recall a while back being told by Furphy that when they bought Kangaroo they also got their camp oven molds and did make a few of them.

Regardless it's an interesting looking 14" oven.

Any thoughts

G'day Derek, I purchased one of these ovens from Furphy in 2000.
The mark of the kangaroo is also featured on the 8 inch Furphy ovens ans well as the water boilers.
I've attached photos anyway to show you.
Hope this helps.
Astro.

Thanks for that.

I have asked the guy who sent me the pics to watch this site so he can read that for himself.

Gents,
Just looking through the old posts and have recently picked up exactly the same oven, 14"with the KSC brand and kangaroo on the bottom, also has the slight cut away where the lid sits to suit the bail arm.
The bloke I bought it off also bought it brand new from the Furphy in 2000 same as Astro

Mine as well Teemac
I think somebody did some grinder work on mine as well.
Will take a photo when I have time to show, what I believe is the extra work.
How even is the wall thickness on yours?
