After a few days of very sultry weather, around midnight last night we had a bit of a wild storm that dumped around 30 mil of the wet stuff on us. This arvo bought a couple of mild storms resulting in another 25 mil.
That was enough to get the Frog Chorus singing and I can tell you there is no better music to go to sleep to than the sound of uncountable frogs singing their song.
I have been sitting outside having a quiet drink, listening the  music.
Hopefully an indication of a good wet season to come as we need one

Hey Soot

A couple of recent trips to the west of me here showed an unusual high number of emu chicks.  People out there are saying that this to is an indication of a good wet season to come.

I could go for that kind of night Soot!!

Y'all sound like I'd be preaching to the converted with this:  http://www.tropical-rainforest-animals.com/Tropical-Frogs.html

But still congratulations!!!  We know you need wet, wet, wet, lots of wet.

BTW can the bores fill up again or are they 'non-renewable resources.'

Derek have heard that one as well , have noticed an unusual number of Plover chichs about of late not unusual to see 3 little ones in a brood not the normal 1 or 2.
Hope we get a good wet Christmas even if it spoils my plans for a few days on the creek bank.

LK, What falls today is 100 + years away from coming out of the bore head
