Family is gathering for daughter's wedding so I decided to cook up a roast dinner & try out the new Bedourie oven. Rib roast & a few veges just fitted in the 10" cast iron CO . The 12" Bedourie did a good job on the bulk of the veges. No im not catering for 60 wedding guests. The CO's just catered for the 6 family members.

Yummmmmmmm.  Very nice

What sort of camp oven is that 10" cast iron one.  Looks like an oldie.

The cast iron CO is a cleanskin. Purchased at the Georgetown (NQ) store in 1973.

Is it the same as the one on the photo of your cooking table.  If so it's a very interesting design.  The ears on that are not like the newer Chinese ovens.  If anything it has the look of an old Albion about it.

Thats one very interesting camp oven.  I wonder just how many little foundries around the country actually made camp ovens over the years.

I know when I was looking at getting some made the foundry I was talking to still have the molds for when they made them years ago.  In fact they were happy to use their old base mold and create a new lid for me.  The price was just to much though.
