Prices:  Like all things I suppose it's what the buyer is prepared to pay but some of the pots on eBay are bringing BIG money here in Oz, like well over $400.00 !!
I check out all "Antique and Olde Wares" shops when I'm travelling, a lot of them use phone numbers for prices. I went into a shop at Blacksmiths (NSW) the other day (are you listening muzz ?) they had an old 14" Metters in fair/poor condition at $295.00 and weren't prepared to negotiate, who else has experienced this ?
Weekend markets seem to be the best source for reasonably prices camp ovens, I've picked up some real gems at fair prices in the past year or so.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

PD
You would have been no more than a few minutes from my place.
As for the wankers in the shop I just do not go there.(and I will say no more about that) The buyer does set the price to some degree paying top dollar for rubbish. I agree with you, weekend markets or deceased estates garage sales are good at times.
Did I see in a post that you are now retired? If you are, enjoy your self, there seems to be not enough hours in the day at times.

After reading in a four wheel drive about pressure cooking when camping I went shopping on a Sunday which is not usual for me and found a market in the carpark.   I decided to have a quick look around and the first thing I spied was a youngish gentleman trying to fit a lid to a small pressure cooker.  He was most definitely having no luck.  It was on the tip of my tongue to ask him did he want it for camping. I acted uninterested and went off keeping a check on the stall, the minute the guy dropped it I picked up the pressure cooker and couldnt for the life of me put the lid on properly.    I asked the store seller how much for the pressure cooker and he said....... $3.00.  I took it home and the DH with a quick flick clicked it perfectly into place, it has a strange slightly oval shape.  Its a small pressure cooker and works perfectly and is light to take away.  It cooks the best lamb shanks and corn beef you could possibly make.

Have faith there are bargains to be had
