Sticky Beak

Was srolling through the bush today as I often tend to do
When mate I gotta tell ya heard this gosh almighty blue
The sounds that I heard slung about would damn near curl your hai
And I stood in awed excitement at the sight I noticed there

An old man kangaroo had found while checking someones camp
Some clothing hanging from a bush and then had just by chance
Had some how while he checked things out had donned a bushmans shirt
And then in fright he ducked and weaved and spun and kicked up dirt

The dust and muck that he kicked up and as you all would know
Did nothing to improve the work put into cleaning clothes
The sheets that had not long before looked fresh and clean as snow
Now hung in sad abandonment as that old roo let go

With grunts and roars of fear and rage and frustrated bouts
Of wild abandoned leaps and bounds while flinging clothes about
While from the creekbed down the hill there came a wail of woe
As disbelief and horror struck that cleaning bushman low

For hours all that morning he had spent in dedicated yakka
Scrubbing weeks of sweat and stains and grime from out of all his clabber
Now al of it was wasted and he had to wash them all again
Just because a sticky beaking roo had made him work in vain
