Good Morning all,
I was speaking to one of the guys yesterday from Large's Foundry (One of the Kahuna's I think) and he told me that if they have any CO they will happily produce copies from it or anything cast. In fact have recently copied & produced 6 x 24" jobs for a customer.

So if anyone has something special or the like and wants it reproduced  give them a call. I have no association with this company other than driving past there often as a small boy with my parents & was always intrigued by the huge chimneys & smoke they billowed. It seems that they only require that the object for copy is dusted with some white powder/release agent which helps the sand release and won't hurt the original!

I have no idea on costs but the contact is
Large's Foundry- Toowoomba Qld
Ph.(07) 46323836
Fax (07) 46392020

P.S. Has a commemorative CO ever been produced for members of COCIA?

All the best
The Roosel

G'day CO fans. Be very interesting to find out costs, I've spoken to two other foundries in the year just gone and they both said the same thing, " They only do camp ovens as a sideline and there is no profit in it !"
I think the $165 I paid for a new 12" pot is on the high side or am I losing touch with prices ?

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd
