What are all you good people up to for tha Australia Day long weekend? I have taken the Thursday off from work and taking the Kimberley over to the creek that runs behind the Jondaryan Woolshed.I will take some happy snaps to share on my return. I've always done pretty well here on the yella bellies so some bobbing will be in order. I am desperate to get myself another CO prior to going as I only have the one. I have promised the 'lations a CO fix of roast beef Yorkshire puds & roast vegies. There'a a 15" Furphy that keeps winking at me down the local camp shop. I may have to snap that up before I go. All that aside I hope you all get to have a great long weekend!
All the best

What price on the Furphy.  Have seen them down here for $155.00.  I take it that its a new Chinese made one.

Definately Chinese but that doesn't really bother me too much. It should make good sweet & sour pork or beef in plum sauce. The ticketed price is $165.00 but now I know about that price it'll give me a bit of bargaining power. I am happy to wait for the Lodge 16 but mid Feb won't help in this case.

This is my 14" Camp Chef alongside my 15" Furphy.  These should be in Anaconda before to long.

We are waiting on the weather to decide about Australia Day.  On the agenda is a short trip down the south coast camping with daughter and older grandkids.

Funny you should ask, we've been invited to an Oz Day party and have been asked to bring lamingtons, others are bringing meat pies, pavlova, roo steaks and I'll do one of my award winning (!) dampers with cocky's joy washed down with (copious quantities of) red cordial.
Proud to be an Aussie !

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

Brilliant I'd say- beware of the gout with all those goodies though.
