G'Day All,
Just rec'd these pics in the mail the other night (as TroyK indicated, they're doing the rounds) & I found myself thinking he'd have to be a fully certified lunatic. No doubt an impressive feat by the 'Tojo' but with a boat & a kid on board? Who, I might add, looked pretty relieved to be through it.
With a 'plant mech' background, I'd be interested in that exhaust set up LK.
As the commentary in the photo's rightly states, how the hell would anyone know if the road is intact underneath it all.
I guess I'm 'preaching to the converted' here but hard to fathom just the same.
Hooroo for now Smiley

I live in a small village and have to cross a weir on the road out of town. I've lost count of how many vehicles been swept off when the weir floods. It drops a metre or more onto rocks on the low side so quite a few of these idiots don't survive.
The pressure of the running water against the side of the vehicle and some cars with a flat floor pan that tend to aquaplane and its oops I didn't think the water was that deep.
How the boat didn't drag that wanker off the road was more good luck than good management.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

Yeah, that's dead right PD. Once the water gets up under the tray or floor pan & lifts, it's pretty well game over. A mate of mine has said he's driven a hilux through flood water, that was up to the wipers but the water wasn't running - big difference. A few of the blokes at work seemed to think it was photo shopped. I'm sure no expert when it comes to that, but they looked fairly legit to me. Very easy to underestimate the force.
What's that  little village ya call home PD? - if ya like.
