Thanks Cornelius,
some great pictures in there! And thanks for solving the puzzle about the location.
I still think I would have trouble there, not sure I could climatize that well.

Skip,

As I have suggested to other Aussies, don't buy clothing for colder climates in Oz.  At least go to the climbers in NZ.  Better yet, places where it gets good and cold.  & talk to those who know.  You need different insulation for a dry cold than a humid cold.

The case in point.  People who went to Japan for a skiing holiday.  I will just bet that Japan is much more humid than just about any place in Oz (the just about being Tassie)

Cool

Cornelius, do you use that site at all for planning your trips?  Or refer others to it, especially,  those of us from across the pond?

No LK, I never used this site but I have told other about it. I suppose it’s a good site for people that go “wild” camping or boon-docking, something that my better half frowns upon.  Lips Sealed

Anyway, I never plan that much, it took me 3 years to reach Scotland and only because I was determent to get there that time. I always got side tracked by other interesting places so I ran out of holidays before I got there.

That's very useful, thank you, Cornelius.  With a pup, you know a 70 lb. pup or two 'wild' camping is such fun.

I think Aussies call it 'free' camping.  eh!!!
