G'day all,
I was in St. Vinnies yesterday looking for an old pair of BBQ tongs when I spotted what I believe will make the perfect pastry crimping tool for pies. An old set of false teeth, they should be perfect, just gentle downward pressure should crimp well.
If you get a set, try for ones with real even fangs to keep the crust symetrical. All I need now is a tool for making the holes in my doughnuts. Shocked

All the best

Our local crematorium has a box out side the back door where you can have your pick of dentures and as a bonus spectacles too. Sometimes they have walking sticks you can use to put the holes in doughnuts but you have to be quick for them.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

LOL, good onya fella's Grin Grin Grin Yeah, that walking stick would be the shot for making the donut holes PD. Now Skip, how would ya go about carrying a couple of mugs o tea & 1/2 dozen donuts................. Shocked Wink
There was an old limmerick revolving around teeth, went someth'in like;
One night a man from Blackheath,
Sat down on his false pair of teeth,
He jumped up in fright,
And checking in light,
Found he'd bitten himself underneath!

Yeah I know, it's not exactly rib splitting stuff but I'd hate to guess how old it'd be. With the talk of false teeth, it just popped into my head!
Anyway, enough from me,
Hooroo for now Smiley

Hey Skip, thanks a lot! Ya know, I never even realised that the milestone had ticked over until you pointed it out Grin Thanks also for the vote of confidence. You're on my list of regulars that I usually tune in to. I've had laughs a'plenty at more than one of your posts & have enjoyed the ride so far.
Today would be the most I've spent in front of the 'puter for a good while. Have come down with a dose of the lurgy - nothing too serious though, so have been taking it a bit slow. Ducking in & out of COCIA every few hrs.
In general though, I struggle to get the time to muck around with it as much as I'd like too. I do intend to gets some pics posted at some stage. It's been just enough to come in, check the latest posts & then on with the evening routine. Still, a bloke's not Robinson Crusoe in that department.
Anyway, more later.
Hooroo for now  Smiley

Hey T_P I tried to see how I went with the 2 mugs' o' tea. No problem there, but I could only get 5 Doughnuts on , but they were real big ones with a very thick glaze!! Wink
Mate for a cold I have a shot of rum mixed with 2 shots of orange juice . Microwave until steaming hot and sip on that-fix you in no time-makes you feel better, opens the sinus's and makes you sleep. Might make you snore a bit too. Smiley

Have a nice day

Oh, & about the rum.
An 'Old Pensioner Grin' once made me a 'rum & bonox' back when I was nuth'in but a lad - during my apprenticeship days at Moree. Big slug o 'homebrand' rum, the smell'd near stiffen a dog at 40 paces, let alone the taste. Cured the wog & any future desire for rum that I may have harboured, as I've not been able to stand the smell of the stuff since Grin - who knows, the old bloke might have done me a favour yet! Then again, maybe with the OJ it's not too bad Wink
Take it easy, eh?
