I got sick of the canvas bag shower, it has been good for years, but was bored one arvo so made this up.
An old food plastic bucket, a stainless 4 inch washer in side to stop it pulling through, & toilet certern tap, this seamed to be the softest tap i could find (easy on/off) a couple of double threaded collars, & an old shower head with the bar taken out.
I screwed a plastic blank inside the  double collar inside the bucket, & kept drilling it out a mm at a time untill it ran a reasonable time.
Everyone liked it as it didn't drip & you could see how much time you had left.

I've had many different types over the years but always come back to the tried and true canvas bucket.
I've just bought a new (s/h) caravan and with it came a Coleman Hot Water on Demand set up. Haven't tried it yet but will let you know if it's worth the effort of carting around.

I agree PD, the old canvas shower bucket equipped with reliable brass fittings and gal. shower rose is very durable and hard to beat.

I've used mine fairly regularly over the past 30 years and because the showers are as good as I get at home, I've never felt the need to change or look for anything else; and best of all I reckon there's still at least another 30 years of service left in the unit.  Wink

Had a chance to use the Coleman yet Pod?
From all accounts they are supposed to be pretty good, supposedly even hot enough to make a cuppa cranked up.
We're going camping over the school hols coming up so I lashed out and bought one. Not for me of course, only thinking of the ladies. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Just back from a quick trip to the Sunshine State (??) and didn't take the Coleman HWOD so I can't give you an honest appraisal yet Robbo.

Yeah the weather has been lowsy for a few weeks Pod!
It still wasn't bad enough to stop the maroons flogging the blues though.

Can anyone tell me how many straight  series wins that makes? Smiley Smiley
