Hey Jono I just realised that I probably need to take out a small loan for 5.5 KG of any meat Grin. The freeloaders tomorrow night are in for a treat. I'm also going to make Dereks  Apple Cobbler. I bought some Pie Apples with Cinnamon today at Coles. I've cleaned off the special pie crimping tool for the occassion.

Thanks Mate

Skip are you gunna do a crusty loaf with ya stew, Silly question I spose, they go hand in hand. I've not done alot of breads/dampers but keen to get into it and at least get one down pat. I usually just use the bread mixes.

I bought a new bread mix recently called Lauke Crusty White.  Haven't tried it yet.

Hey Skip

A bit late, but something I've toyed with a bit lately and have had really yummy results is cooking a stew similar to Dianne sauce.
Just use water and thickened cream 50/50 enough to cover meat and veges.
Add two to three tablespoons of both tomato and worcestershire sauce (almost as hard to type that as it is to say), two teaspoons crushed garlic.
Simmer as you would normally.
Just thicken with a bit of the old cornflour and water. Tongue Tongue Tongue

Give it a lash and see what you think.

Well done Skip, looks great, I am sure they will enjoy it.  I love potatoes in their skins also  Cheesy

If you look at the bottom of your post you have the code of the last photo, you can go back in by clicking on the the modify button (top right) and just add [ IMG ] existing code [ /IMG ]  either side (without spaces) and it will then load up.

I have to agree with Carolyn... Skip top job on the stew and bread... and there is nothing wrong with using pre mix can save a lot of hassles.

Well Skip, whats the verdict? Did the freeloaders enjoy? Where's the photos of the apple cobbler? More importantly was there any left?  SmileyWink
