These were the tastiest chooks I have ever eaten.

5 chooks
2 600ml buttermilk
2 tble spoons honey
bunch chopped rosemary
4 cloves chopped garlic
S&P

Mix together and marinate the chooks for 2 days then cook slowly in a camp oven. Delicious and very simple.

Cheers

Jono

PS - There were a few mud crabs about as well

Another amazing recipe Jono. Thanks for that. That is a pearler oven mate!
Did you go to Stanage Bay Jono? The crabs are beauts-well done.
I crabbed today also and bagged out on Spanner crabs. I don't mind that though. I will post a picture of them later.

All the best

Skip, After a bit of persuading I finally got it out of one of me mates, Its his old girls recipe, and a beauty at that. The crabs are from Corio Bay.

Buttermilk, what a great idea.  I guess a little like tandoori and using yoghurt.

You must have a huge CO to take that many chooks.

Crabs oooooooooh you Q'landers have all the luck.
